The annual Great Lenten retreat for the clergy of the Western American Diocese will be hosted at the Old Holy Virgin Cathedral in San Francisco from March 9 through 11, 2015.

The retreat provides an important forum for the clergy of our diocese to meet face-to-face, to receive instruction through lectures, discuss pastoral issues and exchange experience, to confess and concelebrate the Divine Liturgy, and partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.

This year two presentations will be offered to our clergy: 1) “The Pastor in the Last Days,” and 2) “Homosexuality: Pastoral Challenges & Responses.”

Our hierarchs will also lead the clergy in prayer for the repose of ever-memorable Metropolitan Laurus ( + March 16, 2008). A panykhida is scheduled on Monday March 9, 2015, at 7:00 pm at the Old Cathedral, 864 Fulton Street, San Francisco, CA.
